Rocket Learning Pod

        Our primary goal at Rocket Pod is to expose children to a bilingual environment and equip them with the skills and confidence needed for a seamless transition into French immersion programs. We accomplish this by incorporating experiential learning with weekly field trips into our curriculum, exposure to different learning, study techniques, individualized learning plans and group learning pods.  Through hands-on activities and language immersive experiences, we aim to instill a strong foundation in English and French. We aim to foster linguistic competence and Franco phone cultural appreciation in our young learners. Our commitment to providing a bilingual and experiential learning environment sets the stage for a successful educational journey, empowering children to thrive in a bilingual world.

In addition to language and academic development, Rocket Pod offers a rich and diverse range of nature multi-sport based learning opportunities. We believe in the importance of learning through real-world experiences. Here are some of the exciting ways we engage children in our learning ecology:

  • French and English Language Learning Environment: 

  • Forest School at the Humber Arboretum: Our students explore the wonders of nature and learn about ecology through our nature school sessions held at the Humber Arboretum.

  • Cooking, Baking, and Nutrition: At our local community centers, children get hands-on experience in the kitchen, learning to cook and bake with whole foods while also gaining valuable insights into nutrition.

  • Seasonal Fun: Throughout the year, our program adapts to the changing seasons. In the summer, children enjoy wading in kiddie pools, playing tennis, and engaging in outdoor activities. In the winter, we embrace the cold with ice skating and sledding adventures.

  • Sports and Physical Activities: Rocket Pod offers year-round opportunities for sports and physical activities, swimming, tennis, baseball, cycling, soccer, basketball and tennis.

  • Arts and Crafts: We encourage creativity through arts and crafts projects, allowing children to express themselves artistically. Drawing, painting, t shirt sweatshirt design and crafting will be featured this year 

  • Capture the City: We also participate in library story time sessions, fostering a love for reading and storytelling in our young learners.

Our holistic approach to education goes beyond traditional classroom learning. We believe that by offering a diverse array of experiences, we enrich children's lives and provide them with a well-rounded education that extends far beyond textbooks and worksheets
